The Skipper certainly lead from the front this year, having played in every game this season and making over a thousand tackles, he certainly can enjoy his break.
Playing in the middle and having to tackle players much bigger than you, can no doubt be tough, but Michael consistently put his body in front of any one this year.
He was rewarded with a great start to the season by captaining the Country side and after what was a tough year, he can certainly hold his head high and be proud of the year he had.
He like many of the boys will be looking forward to a big pre-season and getting back to the heights the club reached in 2012.
