The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the re-signing of Trent Hodkinson, which will see him remain at the Club through until the end of season 2015.

The 25-year-old joined the Bulldogs in season 2011 and has played 46 NRL matches for the Club since his arrival and overall he has made 70 appearances in the top grade.

The halfback endured a tough 2012 season with injury but returned to the side in round six of this season and has not missed a match since, playing all 18.

Hodkinson is happy that he has been able to secure his future here at the Bulldogs.

I went through a bit of a rough trot last year but Im so happy to be back playing regularly and to now have the next two years secured here is great, Hodkinson said.

There were some dark times there (through the recovery from injury) and the aim was to string a few games together but its good to know that Ill be wearing the blue and white for the next two years.

Chief Executive Raelene Castle is happy to have Trent as part of the playing group for the next two years.

Since my arrival Trent has been good to deal with and he will be a key man as part of our playing group over the next few years, Castle said.

Coach Des Hasler is pleased to have Hodkinson remain at the Club.

Trent is someone that works hard on his game and hell continue to work hard over the next period here at the Bulldogs, Hasler said. Its good to see Trent fit after a troubling past with injury and we hope he can continue to produce solid performances in the NRL.
