A 29 year old business networking student from Parbahni in rural India will have the chance to kick for $US1million at half time of the Canterbury Bulldogs game against the Penrith Panthers on Saturday 31 August.

Shivanand Swami has never heard of the Bulldogs, hes never heard of Rugby League and hes certainly never kicked a football in his life.

Ive been doing everything I can to find out about Australia. This trip and the chance to kick for $1million is like a dream, Swami said.

All my family and friends are so excited. They think its like your Christmas and everyone is praying for me that I win.

Swami will be a winner regardless of his success with the boot with a brand new Triumph motorcycle or $US20,000 to be offered as the consolation prize. Hell also meet the Bulldogs team and be taken to enjoy the best sights and sounds Sydney has to offer.

The kicking challenge is sponsored by Bulldogs major corporate partner easy-forex, an online currency trading company. The chance to kick for the cash was open to anyone trading through them with the winner based on the quantity of successful trades between 26 March 2013 and July 31 2013.

Swami made more than 6000 trades over that period with more than 95% of them profitable.

Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle says theres great anticipation building around his arrival.

If Swamis trading success flows through to success with the footy therell be some amazing scenes at ANZ Stadium in a couple of weeks time, Castle said.

We cant wait to welcome Swami to Australia, to show him around Sydney and to introduce him to our team and our game.

This is a fantastic promotion and were really pleased to work with a global organization like easy-forex to make the most of the opportunities that can be generated through a partnership with the Bulldogs.

The runner-up of the world wide trading competition, 57 year old Liu Bin from Shanghai, China, and the Australian winner, 21 year old Kenneth Gilkinson from Brisbane have also won flights to Sydney, tickets to the game and $US5000.

The winning traders will witness firsthand the strength and dedication of the Bulldogs as the NRL finals series approaches.

Its an incredibly exciting time culminating here in Sydney. We had an overwhelming global response to the $1 Million competition, with over 1000 traders entering from around the world, said easy-forex Chief Marketing Officer Hillik Nissani.
