The Bulldogs NYC side have this afternoon run riot against the Sharks winning 50-10 at Bluetongue Stadium.

It was nine tries to two with the Bulldogs also leading at the break 24-4.

It was the Sharks who opened the scoring after just four minutes of play through winger Alan Nuilesa. The Sharks found themselves in good field position off the back of a penalty and they didnt waste their opportunity. It was a simple play out to the right that caught the Bulldogs napping and with an overlap, Nuilesa received the ball and managed to win the race to the line with his opposite, John Sila unable to get across in cover. Fullback Taylar Garrett failed to convert from the western touchline with the score 4-nil.

The Bulldogs were able to answer back with their first try of the afternoon in the 20th minute. They were awarded a repeat set after the Sharks got a hand to a loose ball that the young pups were able to then get possession of. The blue and whites shifted it to the left and on the following play hooker Blake Carter was able to burrow over from dummy-half to score. Fullback Patrick Templeman converted from 10m to the left of the uprights to put the Bulldogs in front, 6-4.

To close out the half the Bulldogs ran in three more tries to really stamp their authority on the match. It was captain Moses Mbye in the 28th minute, then Robbie Kamoto in the 36th and Templeman in the 38th. Templeman converted all three tries and the young pups went back to the sheds with a 24-4 lead at the break.

The Sharks came out firing in the opening minutes of the second half with winger Nesi Mataitonga crashing over in the 44th minute. Mataitonga took the ball from dummy-half and crabbed across field before finding a small gap to slide through. Garrett converted with the score 24-10.

Just three minutes later it was Sila who received the ball on the left flank and didnt look back. He used his blinding speed to fly down the eastern touchline and go over in the south-eastern corner. Templeman was unable to convert from out wide with the score remaining 28-10 after 49 minutes.

In the 53rd minute the lead was extended with centre Dylan Rintoul doing over for his first of the afternoon. It was off back to back sets where the Sharks just struggling to cover in defence. Templeman couldnt convert with the score remaining 32-10.

Just moments later Sila almost replicated his first with the massive winger streaming down the left flank once more. He was able to run it round to score under the posts with Templeman easily converting for a 38-10 scoreline.

The final 20 minutes saw the Bulldogs run in two more tries with centre Dujuan Liolevave and halfback Jaline Graham going over. Templeman converted both with the score 50-10 as the final siren sounded.
