After a gutsy, determined performance against the Storm last weekend and not getting the result we wanted, there is no better opportunity for our boys to bounce back in front a massive crowd against a quality side.

I remember this game last year and although it wasnt the result we were after, i will never forget the atmosphere and the occasion. As a player you love playing in front of big crowds and against good sides and with the opportunity to play day footy it gives Rugby League fans a chance to see two quality sides play some good Rugby League in what we can all hope will be perfect conditions for day footy.

The Dogs take on a quality football side, sure they have some star players in Greg Inglis, Issac Luke, the Burgess brothers and a very smart halves pairing in John Sutton and Adam Reynolds, I believe they have not been that convincing over the past 2 weeks. They are a side that can leek points and if I remember the last time these two sides met it was a convincing win to the boys from Belmore. So therefore I do not see why our boys cannot win on Friday afternoon.

With the big inclusions of Ben Barba and Frank Pritchard it can only be an added bonus to our football side and a sight I am sure the members and fans will love to see. Sure our defence has been sound, but its about taking our opportunities with the ball. A focus that I know personally the boys have spoken about and one they have focused on this week. It comes back to attention to detail, executing the right plays, making the right decisions, sticking to our structures and processes and most of all believing and trusting in one another. It will take time, but when coming up against a side that many believe is a top four side, you must make the most of your chances.

The development of our young forward pack is one that has really caught my eye and with a big challenge ahead this Friday for our pack I am sure it is one I know they will be up for and one I know many will be looking forward to.

The Reynolds battle will be a beauty!! Both very talented players and both who just love to compete for every little inch on the footy field for their side. A match up that many rugby league fans will be looking forward to.

Bring on Friday!! Day footy, huge crowd, first home game at ANZ, Easter and a challenge a boys will be pumped for. I cant wait!
