After a 40-20 victory over the Cowboys in round one and a 32-24 win over the Eels last week, Coach Patmore is happy with where his side is at.
The results have been good and some of our footy has been good as well, Patmore said. Weve been lacking a couple of things but overall were pretty happy.
We probably couldve scored another two or three tries so our attack needs to get a bit better.
We set some targets in that match last weekend and the boys achieved them so they are applying themselves well.
With the side now settled and combinations are starting to be built it is unfortunate that both Jack Creighton and Ryan Wilson will miss the match due to injury.
Yeah, Jack has broken his hand unfortunately so it looks as though weve lost him for around three to four weeks and Ryan Wilson had a bit of a shoulder problem so at this stage well be without him for two weeks.
Its good that those combinations are forming though, we have a nice set-up at the moment.
Taking on the Storm this week will be a difficult task with the young men in purple having one win and one loss to start their year.
Theyll be a typical Storm side, well drilled, play precise footy, good targets and be efficient all across the park so we need to get those little things right to make sure we compete with them.
If we give them too much ball theyll grind you into the ground. We cant go error for error as we have done previously or they will hurt us.
The match this week will be the first away trip for the NYC side and Patmore will be looking to his experienced players to help guide the younger players through the process.
Like most young blokes, theyre excited about going on an aeroplane but this is part of the learning process. Our Sports Psychologist will have some time with them and go through what will help them focus and we have some other things in place that we have learnt over the years and implemented.
Its a short week again so hopefully that excitement peaks on Thursday night. Guys like Moses Mbye, Patty Templeman and David Minute have done the traveling in the past so hopefully they can help the others out.

John Sila Sila has scored seven tries in the opening two rounds of the competition with a hat-trick first-up and four last week against the Eels. Patmore believes if he continues to work on all aspects of his game he will become a complete player.
Johnny has had early comparisons to players like Matt Utai and others. He is a big kid and improved massively over the last two years and the pre-season under Des has been good for him.
He knows he needs to continue to work hard. In attack he is big and powerful but some decision making in defence is something we are working on.
