The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have today announced that the round one home fixture to be played against the North Queensland Cowboys will take place at Bluetongue Stadium, Gosford.
The match, scheduled for Saturday, 9 March will kick-off at 7.30pm with the NYC match commencing at 5.15pm and gates opening at 5.00pm. Tickets will be available through Ticketek from February 10th.
Bluetongue Stadium will host a number of National Rugby League fixtures throughout season 2013 with this match the first for the area with it featuring two of the competitions heavyweights from 2012.
Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg said it was great to be able to take a home match to a regional area but still be at a location that Bulldogs Members and supporters can travel to.
We know the Bulldogs enjoy strong support in the Central Coast region with over 10% of our NSW based fans hailing from the region, Greenberg said. Playing a game at Bluetongue Stadium is a great opportunity to reward these Members and fans for their support and at the same time giving the club the opportunity to develop our supporter base even further.
Along with the above, the Bulldogs would also like to confirm that the round 18 home match against the Melbourne Storm will be played at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, 14 July at 3.00pm after originally being listed as TBC (to be confirmed) in the 2013 NRL season draw release.
In what will be the second Grand Final replay of the year, it will also be the first time that the Bulldogs have played the Storm in the season proper at ANZ Stadium since 2007.
Bulldogs Members will still retain 10 ANZ Stadium home matches as part of their package with two reciprocal ANZ Stadium away games as per previous years.
