Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Members have wasted no time in snapping up grandstand seats for The Local Rivalry Returns match against Newtown Jets, set for February 10 at Belmore Sports Ground, with almost 2,000 seats snapped up in the famous grandstand.
The Local Rivalry Returns match went on sale exclusively to the large base of Bulldogs Members on 9am Wednesday (16 January), with Members also given all of Thursday (17 January) for an exclusive priority period before the general public can purchase from Friday (18 January).
To have almost 2,000 tickets in the grandstand taken after one day of being on sale is an enormous achievement and indicative of the high esteem, that the famous Belmore Sports Ground is held in by Members, Bulldogs chief executive Todd Greenberg said.
With Newtown entering the 2013 NSW Cup competition as defending Premiers it will be a good test for the Bulldogs in what will be the return of the local rivalry to Belmore and the only trial match in Sydney for Bulldogs Members and fans to get a glimpse of the 2013 side.
The Local Rivalry Returns is in line with our Membership campaign, Together. Forever. Both signifying that true rivalries never die and that true supporters will be there to support their Club at all times.
Last years match was widely regarded as a day to remember, with it being a time for families to turn back the clock and enjoy a day out on the family hill. There will be plenty of activities for all the family and promises to be great value and a fun day out.
