2021 Membership Compensation

OVERVIEW

Thank you for your support as a Bulldogs Member in 2021.

We want to thank you for your patience while we worked behind the scenes together with the NRL to continue the 2021 Telstra Premiership Season and to assess the impacts that the most recent COVID-19 restrictions had on our Club and Members. It has been a long and complex task, and we are incredibly grateful that you have stayed strong with us.

We acknowledge that the experience of all Members has been affected by the impacts and restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, however as our In Stadium Members did not receive their game day entitlements from Round 16 onward, they are entitled to receive compensation for the games that were played behind closed doors in Sydney and those relocated to Queensland.

EXAMPLE:

We understand that there is no one size fits all approach, so in line with our 2021 Membership Terms and Conditions and your own individual circumstances we would like to present our In Stadium Members with the option to receive a pro-rata credit toward their 2022 Membership renewal OR the option to pledge.

The final value of the pro-rata credit is dependent on the type of membership package held and will be communicated during the renewal process in October.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which Members are eligible for compensation?

In Stadium Memberships - Ultimate, Platinum Plus, Platinum, Gold, Kennel, Blue Zone, Flexi and P1 Parking Pass holders.

How will my compensation be determined?

Depending on the package, In Stadium Members will be compensated a maximum of 6 x games that were played behind closed doors in Sydney or relocated to Queensland from Round 16 onward.

Full Season Members are entitled to receive a credit for the 5 x home games and 1x reciprocal game which were due to be played in Sydney after Round 16.

Flexi Members are entitled to receive a credit for 2 x home games based on the reduction in the number of games they could choose to attend.

Members who purchased a P1 parking pass are entitled to receive a credit for the 2 x games which were due to be played at Stadium Australia after Round 16 less the cost of the card and postage. The credit for your P1 Parking Pass will be applied when purchasing a 2022 P1 Parking Pass, once the 2022 draw has been released.

No compensation will be provided for games missed prior to Round 16.

As per the 2021 Membership Terms and Conditions, a credit is calculated as follows:

a) Your Membership package is made up of TICKETED and NON-TICKETED components. Ticketed benefits relate to the ability to attend matches, whilst non-ticketed costs and benefits are goods and services that include but are not limited to merchandise, postage, resources, administration etc.

b) The costs incurred by the club to deliver the non-ticketed benefits (as mentioned above) are deducted from the RRP of the 2021 Membership package.

c) The balance remaining is deemed the value of the ticketed/game day costs and benefits. To calculate the per game value, the balance is divided by the number of game entitlements included in your membership package. (Full Season Packages = 10 x Home Games + 1 x Reciprocal. Flexi Packages = 4 x Home Games).

d) Finally, the combined total of all benefits delivered prior to Round 16 are deducted from the RRP of your 2021 Membership with the final balance recorded as the 2021 credit.

How will the credit be applied to my 2022 membership renewal?

You don’t need to do a thing! The value of the 2021 credit will be automatically deducted from the RRP price of your 2022 Membership when it is renewed in October. The 2022 Membership price, 2021 pro-rata credit and the remaining payment will be communicated with you in writing during the renewal process.

Members that have not paid for their 2021 Membership in full are not eligible for a credit.

What if I don’t want compensation and I want to pledge?

We acknowledge that every Member’s situation is different and there are Members who do not want compensation and would prefer to forgo the undelivered game day benefits of their 2021 Membership to the club.

If you would like to pledge, click here to register by Thursday 23 September 2021.

Please note, this form must be completed by the Primary Account Holder to ensure all secondary linked accounts are also registered.

All details provided in the form must also match the details on your 2021 Membership account for your pledge to be valid.

Will the 2021 credit still be deducted from my 2022 renewal if I pledge?

In Stadium Members who pledge won’t receive a credit toward their 2022 renewal, however we will acknowledge their generous donation to the club throughout the season.

Are there other ways I can connect with and support the Club?

If you would like to support the club further, you can make a tax-deductible donation to the Bulldogs Foundation through the Australian Sports Foundation OR you can check out our range of winter gear now available at the Bulldogs Team Store. Don’t forget to claim your Members discount at the checkout.
