Kris earned his second City Origin appearance in 2011, his first year in Bulldogs colours and one in which he missed just three matches in the top grade. A scheming, creative ball player, the former Australian Schoolboy also adds versatility and has played five eighth, halfback and hooker over his four years in the NRL.
Kris Keating is a versatile playmaker who arrives at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs with three seasons of NRL and a City Origin jersey to his name.
Keating made his NRL debut as a 19 year old back in 2008 for the Parramatta Eels against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, going on to play 41 First Grade matches, including 23 in 2010, his most consistent year to date.
His early season form during 2010 was rewarded in late April when he was chosen to represent City Origin in its annual clash with Country Origin on May 7, alongside childhood friend and former junior team mate Trent Hodkinson.
The pair would later both sign deals with the Bulldogs for 2011 and beyond, which will see them reunite in blue and white having last played consistently alongside each other at Jersey Flegg level at the Eels in 2007.
Keating officially began his Bulldogs career on day one of pre-season training, on Monday 1 November 2010.
