AUSTRALIA v FRANCE

The Kangaroos have booked a spot in the World Cup quarter-finals following a Wade Graham-inspired 52-6 win over France at Canberra Stadium. 

Australia 52 (Wade Graham 4, Cameron Munster 2, Josh Dugan, Tyson Frizell, Billy Slater, Valentine Holmes tries; Cameron Smith 6 goals) def. France 6 (Mark Kheirallah try; Remy Marginet  goal) at Canberra Stadium. Half-time: 20-6. Crowd: 12,293 

NEW ZEALAND v SCOTLAND

A razzle-dazzle attacking display from New Zealand has seen the Kiwis comprehensively beat the Scotland Bravehearts 74-6 in their World Cup Pool B clash at Christchurch Stadium. 

New Zealand Kiwis 74 (Martin 3, Hiku 3, Nightingale 2, Whare, Johnson, Taylor, Bromwich, Tapine, Packer tries; Johnson 9 goals) defeated Scotland Bravehearts 6 (Thomas try; Addy goal). Half-time: New Zealand Kiwis 28 led Scotland Bravehearts 0. Crowd: 12,130

TONGA v SAMOA

Mate Ma'a Tonga booked a place in the Rugby League World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in history with a 32-18 victory over Toa Samoa on Saturday night at a packed Waikato Stadium.

Tonga 32 (Michael Jennings 2, Peni Terepo, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Manu Ma'u tries; Sio Siua Taukeiaho 4 goals, Ata Hingano 2 goals) def. Samoa 18 (Jazz Tevaga, Ben Roberts, Tim Lafai tries; Tim Lafai 3 goals) at Waikato Stadium. HT: 14-6.

ENGLAND v LEBANON

England have overcome a fiery encounter to beat Lebanon 29-10 in their second Rugby League World Cup Pool A clash at the Sydney Football Stadium.

England 29 (Kallum Watkins, Jermaine McGillvary, Ryan Hall, Ben Currie, Tom Burgess tries; Gareth Widdop 4 goals; Gareth Widdop 1 field goal) defeated Lebanon 10 (Nick Kassis, Jason Wehbe tries; Mitchell Moses 1 goal) at the Sydney Football Stadium. Half-time: England 22-6. Crowd: 10,237.

ITALY v USA

Italy has defeated the USA 46-0 in their World Cup clash at Townsville Stadium, laying on seven tries while kicker Josh Mantellato nailed six of his seven conversion attempts. 

James Tedesco and hooker Joseph Tramontana both scored doubles, as Italy bounced back from their loss to Ireland last week.  

Italy  46 (Joseph Tramontana 2, James Tedesco 2, Josh Mantellato, Paul Vaughan, Mason Cerruto tries; Josh Mantellato 5 goals) def. USA 0 at 1300 Smiles Stadium. Half-time: 28-0.

PNG v IRELAND

The PNG Kumuls have overcome a spirited Irish side 14-6 to continue their unbeaten start to the World Cup and virtually book their spot in the quarter-finals. 

PNG Kumuls 14 (Macdonald, Lo, W. Boas tries; A. Boas goal) defeated Ireland 6 (McIlorum try; Finn goal) Half-time: PNG Kumuls 8 led Ireland 6. Crowd: 14,800

FIJI v WALES

Fiji has taken Wales to the cleaners with a 72-6 point victory, laying on 14 tries to make it two wins from two starts for the Bati in this World Cup. 

Fiji (Suliasi Vunivali 3, Viliame Kikau 2, Taane Milne 2, Salesi Faingaa, Eloni Vunakece, Jarryd Hayne, Joe Lovodua, Petero Benjamin Nakabuwai tries; Apisai Koroisau 4, Taane Milne 3, Suliasi Vunivalu 1 goal) def. Wales 6 (Morgan Knowles tries; Courtney Davies goal) at Townsville Stadium. Half-time: 42-6. Crowd: 7732.
