It’s been a frustrating season for the Bulldogs and with only three weeks left, the players want to finish on a high.
Much noise has been made outside the walls of Belmore, but for Will Hopoate, who averages 21 runs and 177 run metres per game, making the most of what has been a difficult season is a main focus.
“We’re not coming into training to just get through it. We’re coming in to prepare for a game against Manly on the weekend. We want to stop teams from winning and get a few wins ourselves. Personally, I am still living my dream. I love playing footy and there is still three weeks left in the competition, so I want to make the most of it,” said Hopoate.
The fullback was also hopeful that much loved favourite son Josh Reynolds hasn’t played his last game in Bulldogs colours following a calf injury he sustained in the club’s loss to the Rabbitohs last weekend.
“He seems to be upbeat. Hopefully last week wasn’t the last time he wore the blue and white. It’s sad that he is departing at the end of the year, but that’s footy,” added Hopoate.
