Canterbury registered their first ever win against Eastern Suburbs at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 1938.

Easts were the reigning premiers, but went down 28-9 in front of more than 13 thousand fans.

Since 1935 when the club entered the competition Canterbury only managed a draw from the previous six encounters, but the club lived up to their reputation for ruggedness to  record their first ever win over the Easts.

Nothing beats Sunday arvo footy and it's bound to be a cracker when the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs face the Sydney Roosters at ANZ Stadium.

There'll be no love lost between the cross-city rivals with both teams eager to secure the two points and secure bragging rights.

Get out to ANZ Stadium and catch every second of this one!
