The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have had detailed discussions with the NSWRL and both Brad Fittler and Craig Fitzgibbon have agreed not to select any Bulldogs players in the City vs Country fixture on Sunday 7th May, due to the short four day turnaround leading into the Bulldogs v Cowboys game the following Thursday (11th May).

"As in previous years, we have worked with Clubs to find the best outcome for their players. We understand the Bulldogs position and support their stance on the basis of player welfare, therefore, we will not select any Bulldogs players for City vs Country" Brad Fittler said

Bulldogs Chief Executive Raelene Castle said: "The Bulldogs appreciate the pragmatic approach that Brad and Craig have taken in this instance. We wish NSWRL all the best with the fixture".
