The Bulldogs face the 14th placed Wests Tigers on Sunday afternoon at ANZ Stadium and despite their position on the ladder, winger Kerrod Holland is aware of the attacking ability they bring.

“They have plenty of strike across the field so we’ve got to be careful this week and we have definitely done our homework in defence this week. They can score plenty of points, so our defence needs to be spot on this week,” Holland said.

The Tigers are currently the number one ranked team in the NRL for offloads and number one ranked team for dummy half run metres.

With a side featuring Mitchell Moses, James Tedesco, David Nofoluma and the possible inclusion of Luke Brooks, the Bulldogs know their defence needs to be in order to combat the young cubs.

Since the arrival of new coach Ivan Cleary, the Tigers have managed a win over the Cowboys in Townsville and a narrow loss to the Eels on Easter Monday, a game they should've won after leading 22-10 with 20 minutes to go.

“They had the Eels on the ropes for the best part of the game and it’s a game they would be kicking themselves that they didn’t win. We’ll be wary of the Tigers and they can definitely score points.  They knocked off the Cowboys in Townsville, so they’re no slouches,” added Holland.

The goal-kicking winger made his return to the Bulldogs line-up for the first time last week after being sidelined with a shoulder injury for a month.

“It’s not nice being sidelined with injury, but it’s just part of the game. I would have liked to have been there to form a combination with Brenko, but I have just had to wait a little while longer,” said Holland.
