I think we’re close and we only really loss to the Roosters because of goal kicks. We scored five tries a piece and I think the attack is coming along well. Against Melbourne, we scored once, but we went over the try-line a few more times and didn’t take our chances. It’s disappointing when you’re so close and you don’t get the result, but I fell if we can capitalise on the opportunities that are opening up, we will get that win.
on the debutants…
They’re both really good players. Brad Abbey is very skilful and Marcelo has probably been the best performed player all pre-season. He was unlucky to not play Round One and I can’t wait to see him get out there and run the ball.
on Des’ contract…
I would love Des to stay. It’s laughable for the players when we hear that he is getting the flick. He is an awesome Coach and all the boys respect him here and want to play under him. If you ask any of the boys who have re-signed, Des is obviously a big reason to why they stay put at the club.
