How are you boys going getting ready for 2017?

It’s been very warm over the pre-season, but it’s been very enjoyable. We have been really focused this year and we are looking to make amends after last year. Everyone’s working hard and we’re very excited.

How is your partnership with Josh Reynolds going?

Our partnership is going real good. Josh and I are the best of mates and we’re enjoying each other’s company on the training track. We have put a lot of miles in our legs, but we are also doing a lot of ball work together. We were criticised at the end of 2016 about our ability to score points and it’s something that we are focused on doing in the early rounds.

What is Josh really like?

He is a top bloke and everyone loves him.

What is the feeling like around the club?

The feeling is really good. We have always felt confident, but obviously last year we did bow out in straight sets and a bit earlier than we liked. During the year our numbers were good, but our last month or two let us down. It was just unfortunate how it ended, but that’s rugby league. It’s a competitive game and you have 17 blokes on the other side of the field trying to do the same as you, but sometimes it doesn’t work out. The feel is good and we’re looking forward to getting into some trials and putting our work together to be ready for round one against the Melbourne at Belmore.
