The highly anticipated 2017 Casaview Homes NRL draw is due to be released shortly and with no Monday night games in 2017, a new Friday 6pm time slot will be introduced.
Here are five Bulldogs games we are hoping to see on the Casaview Homes draw when it’s released.
1. Opponent: South Sydney Rabbitohs
The annual Good Friday clash between the Bulldogs and the Rabbitohs will enter its sixth season when the Bulldogs host the 2014 premiers in 2017.
The Bulldogs have won two of the past five Good Friday clashes, the average margin between the two sides is 9.4 and the average crowd number is 41,775.
The clash between the two clubs has gained a solid reputation as one of the game’s showpiece events and you can expect no different in 2017.
2. Opponent: St. George Illawarra Dragons
The meeting with the Dragons on the long weekend in June will enter its third season in 2017 when the Bulldogs host the Red V at ANZ Stadium on Monday, June 12.
Kick-off is at the family friendly time of 4pm and with the Bulldogs winning both previous encounters in 2015 and 2016 as well as nine from the past 10, what’s topping the blue and whites making it three wins on Queen’s birthday?

3. Opponent: Penrith Panthers
The Bulldogs and Panthers met on two occasions in 2016 – one game going the way of the Bulldogs with a two point win early in the season, before the men from the foot of the mountains ended the Dogs season in the first week of the finals.
Following the disappointing end to the 2016 season, you can guarantee the Bulldogs will be looking to get one over the Anthony Griffin coached side.
4. Opponent: Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
The clash with the reigning premiers will be fantastic. After going down to the Sharks in Round 13 of the 2016 season by two points after a late Ricky Leutele try and the ensuing sideline conversion from James Maloney in the final minute, a re-match to get one back will definitely be on the cards.
5. Opponent: Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm have been one of the benchmark teams of the NRL for the past decade, and that doesn’t look like changing in 2017. The Bulldogs record against the Storm is very impressive having won the past six meetings against the 2016 Grand Finalists. It’s been three years since the Storm have beaten the Bulldogs, with their last win coming in Round 3, 2013.
