Bulldogs enforcer James Graham has spoken at the launch of the Four Nations tournament in Liverpool, England.

Despite coming from the field with a head injury as result of a dangerous late tackle in England’s 40-6 win in their tournament warm up against France in Avignon; Graham assured his fans that he would be ready for the opening game.

“I was a little bit sore at the end of the game, but I feel alright. I was pleased with the win and how preparations have gone so far,” Graham said.

England Coach Wayne Bennett has blooded some new faces to their squad and following international debuts to five players - Jonny Lomax, Mark Percival, Luke Gale, Scott Taylor and Stefan Ratchford in their win against France, the arrival of some new players to the England team has brought a smile to the Bulldogs skipper.

“The new players have settled in well and I’m really pleased for Johnny Lomax.

“When you look at his story from injuries to some things he had when he was younger, it made me proud to be alongside him and play with him when he got his first cap.

“I can’t speak highly enough of the kid and I’m so pleased for him.

“It’s a really good group of lads and everyone gets on well. Training’s been tough and hard, but we’ve had some good times as well," added Graham.

2017 Memberships are now on sale with more family options!

England will kick start their four nation’s campaign with a clash against the Kiwis at Huddersfield and despite going down to Australia in Perth a fortnight ago, Graham knows what to expect from the 2014 four nations winner.

“We’re expecting a really tough Kiwi team. They’re really strong through their middle forwards.

“We know they’re a quality side, but I’m really looking forward to playing at Huddersfield.

“It should be a good atmosphere and I can’t wait to play on English soil against them.

“To play in front of friends and family is really important to me and it’s something I have missed," said Graham.

Graham will prepare now to face fellow Bulldog Greg Eastwood in England’s opening game against the New Zealand Kiwis this weekend.
