Josh Jackson has taken out the prestigious Brad Fittler Medal following an impressive State of Origin campaign in which he played all but 10 minutes of the series.
Jackson polled the highest votes from fellow Blues teammates as well as Coach Laurie Daley and he spoke with Steve “Blocker’ Roach after becoming the first Bulldogs representative to receive the honour.

You’re always playing under fatigue and that’s the biggest difference, but you always have to look up at your teammates and the people around you who inspire you to keep going. It’s all about working hard for your teammates and knowing that you’ve got their backs and they’ve got yours.

There’s a really good group coming through at the moment and there are some players that haven’t even debuted yet that will be stars of the future. I think it’s really exciting times for New South Wales and I’m really confident moving forward that we can have a bit more success.
