Injured winger Sam Perrett joined the Sunday Footy show following the Bulldogs loss to the Rabbitohs in Round 26 to discusses his injury, the Bulldogs form and the upcoming finals series.

The retiring Bulldogs outside back told Channel Nine's Sunday Footy Show he will miss the Bulldogs' sudden-death clash with Penrith next weekend.

"Things are on the up but I won't be playing this week. Hopefully the boys can hold on until the week after," Perrett said.

Perrett's absence and with Will Hopoate missing this week's game on religious grounds, it is likely that Brett Morris will shift to fullback and Coach Des Hasler will make a decision on Tuesday as to who the man to come in on the wing will be.

The Bulldogs have lost three straight games heading into the finals, but do welcome back forward Sam Kasiano from suspension next week.

"The guys need to get a bit more fun, enjoyment and passion in what we are doing.

"If we can get that buzz back it will be a huge thing."
