The North Queensland Cowboys have walked away from Belmore Sports Ground with an eight point win over the Bulldogs and according to Coach Paul Green, it was one of their tougher wins of they year.

“I thought it was one of our tougher wins of the year. I was really happy with the win, especially with everything on the line and down here at Belmore,” Green said.

“They came out firing, but I thought our boys played tough and it’s good to see.

“We showed good patience tonight and in those loses over the last few weeks, we probably lacked a bit of that in our game.

“We had the right mindset for tonight’s game and it showed.”

"It was enjoyable. I was a little bit nervous. But I loved coming back," Thurston added.

"They showed me plenty of love so it wasn't too bad. It's good to be back and it was good to get the two points."
