Read more quotes from Monday morning’s press conference as Josh Jackson looks back on the Broncos game, the upcoming clash with the Cowboys, the top four, stopping Jonathan Thurston and playing at Belmore.

on the top four…

Obviously we’re on the brink at the moment and it’s pretty important to be in that top four. To get the extra chance is massive and this week is a big game for us.

on holding the ball…

It’s been our problem over the past month or so. We’re really cruelling ourselves and giving the other teams too much opportunity. We found out when we played the Cowboys last time, when you give a team that much ball, they stack points on you.

DON'T MISS OUR ROUND 25 CLASH WITH THE COWBOYS AT BELMORE SPORTS GROUND

on Jason Taumalolo and the Cowboys forward pack...

They roiled through us the last time we played them. They really dominated us and we have spoken about how it’s a big part of the game and if we can win the battle in the middle of the field against their forward pack, it will give our outside backs a fair bit of space and opportunities with the ball.

on playing at Belmore…

It’s a big occasion and it’s great playing here. It’s our spiritual home and we were disappointing against the Raiders earlier in the year. We lost to the Sharks at the back end of the 2015, but we’re playing for a lot and hopefully a fair few fans can come out, which will help us.

on shutting down JT…

You’ve got to limit the amount of space and time he has with the ball, but they’re not a one man band. They have players all over the park that can hurt you.
