Interchange forward Sam Kasiano has become the Bulldogs super-sub in 2016 and you would argue whether there is a better player in the NRL that has more impact than the Samoan International.

Following a big pre-season that has seen Kasiano in the best shape of his career, the Bulldogs have managed to win five of the past six games and a big factor in these victories has been the impact provided from the bench, in particular the work from the 2012 Dally M prop of the year.

His impact is not only felt on the field, but the fans in the stands and watching at home see a real difference in the energy levels from the Bulldogs when he is out there, but the softly spoken Kasiano isn’t taken the credit for the sides form over the past two months.

“I just try to do my part for the team,” Kasiano said. “I just try and get us on the front foot and get some quick play the balls so the halves can play off the back of it.

“Des just wants me to have strong carries and get quick play the balls.”

Kasiano averages 90m in 30 minutes on the field and has produced 31 offloads, 24 tackle breaks and five tries to be a real game changer for the Bulldogs in 2016 and the explosive front-row forward puts it down to one thing.

“I want to win a comp. I am controlling myself more. I’ve tried to cut down on fast foot and it’s about making sacrifices.

“I’m willing to do everything to win a comp and the boys are to.”
