Front-rower Aiden Tolman applauds the performance of the forward pack following the win over the Broncos.

The Bulldogs big men were simply awesome and their energy, particularly in the second half, through the middle were just more than Brisbane could handle on this occasion.

The Dogs made 500 metres more than Brisbane in total. Of the forwards, Canterbury's starting props each made over 200 metres and six of their forwards crossed 100 metres.

Canterbury's forwards broke 27 tackles compared to four by the Brisbane forwards.

"We know that we can play some good footy when we get the chance," said Aiden Tolman.

"If your forward pack dominates and gets the go forward early on, then majority of the time you win the game.

"A goal of ours is to try and dominate early on, especially in the first 20 or 25 minute period and if we do that, we more often than not come away with the points."
