Head Coach Des Hasler believes the Bulldogs have a great opportunity to do something special on Saturday night against the Broncos.

The Bulldogs host the Brisbane Broncos on Saturday night at ANZ Stadium looking to record a win fresh off the bye and go level with the Broncos on the competition ladder.

The Bulldogs sit in sixth position on 18 points, while the Wayne Bennett led Broncos sit in fourth position on 20 points.

The Bulldogs have only managed one win from the past five outings and while many believe the game this weekend is crucial for the Bulldogs top four hopes, Coach Des Hasler sees the clash on Saturday night as a great opportunity for his side.

“Every game of rugby league is a game of opportunity,” Hasler said.

“It presents itself to us this weekend to do something about it.”

The Broncos themselves come into the Round 16 clash fresh off the bye and while their form has been up and down of late, Hasler is well aware of what their capable of.

“I don’t read too much in the history around Origin.

“They have two outstanding halves, they bolster a good forward pack, they’ve got great depth and they’re a great club.

“They’ll be very competitive and we’re going to have to battle hard to get them.”

TWO of the NRL's most explosive teams clash when the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs host the Brisbane Broncos on Saturday evening.

The two clubs haved played out some of the competitions most tense games in recent years and this is one is sure to carry on that tradition.
