David Klemmer has spoken with the media ahead of the clash with the Roosters on Sunday about a number issues, including his form, Origin, Josh Reynolds and what to expect from the tri-colours forward pack.

Below is a recap of his media conference:

Is this the time of year where you come into your own?

“I’m just trying to find some consistent form for the Dogs at the moment. And I’m just trying to do my part for the team.”

Are you enjoying starting?

“I’m happy to play anywhere. I’m very thankful to Des for starting me last week and this week. I’ve just got to keep doing my job and keep doing what I am for the team. For me going forward, this is a big stepping stone.”

Do you want another chance in the Blues jersey?

“If my form is good enough, then I’ll get picked, but if not than I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing at the Dogs and whatever happens outside of my control is a bonus. When I got my chance last year and being around those players was amazing and it’s something you don’t want to miss out on.”

Did it hurt to miss out on the test match?

“You want to be in those teams, but it’s up to how the selectors want to go. You can’t control those things and the only thing you can control, is performing every week and playing for your club side, because they pay the bills.”

Do you think Josh Reynolds should be included in the Blues?

“He’s definitely put his hand up to be in the mix. His form over the last month has been extraordinary, especially his defence.”

What are you expecting from the Roosters?

”They’re a class side. They’re not going to be walk overs and they’ll come for a game and we’ve got to be up for it. It’s going to be a big challenge for us as a team and I can’t wait to get there on Sunday.”
