Front-rower David Klemmer opens up about the moment when he was seen comforting Chase Stanley inside the dressing rooms at Belmore.

Stanley was inconsolable in the dressing rooms at half-time after he was forced from the field with a hamstring injury in the 37th minute.

The devasting news for Stanley brought out the best in one of his teammates, with David Klemmer captured on camera comforting the former Kiwi International at half-time of the Bulldogs loss to the Raiders.

Klemmer is known for toughness and aggression on the field, but his care for the pain his teammate was going through was clear as Stanley broke down into his chest.
