Ben Anderson appointed Head Coach of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs 2016 NYC side.

With the Holden Cup set to kick-off in a few weeks time, newly appointed Coach Ben Anderson has cast his eye over the pre-season and what he thought of the team’s first hit-out last weekend against the Panthers.

Anderson takes up a head coaching role for the first time at the club after assisting in the NSW Cup over the past two seasons and the son of Bulldogs great Chris Anderson, is loving the opportunity.

“I’m happy and excited for the season,” Anderson said. “It’s good to be back and involved with the club at Belmore and we’ve got a good bunch of boys here.

“I had some time away but you come back and you feel like you’ve never left. There are still a few familiar faces around the place which bring back some good memories.”

Anderson knows the importance of his role but knows what the priorities are.

“It’s really about development and seeing them learn. That’s what I’m here for, to be part of that pathway. I think we’ve got a group of guys that can really achieve some things this year.”
