Bulldogs.com.au catches up with rookie Bronson Garlick as he tackles the 2016 pre-season with the NRL squad.

What do you like to do away from football?

Away from football I like to go down to the beach, play some gold or relax with mates.

What was your first job?

My first job was as a timber yard hand at Mitre 10.

What are your goals in Rugby League?

My main goal is to play first grade for the Bulldogs.

What do you love about Rugby League?

The thing I love most about rugby league is being pushed to your limit every day.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

My biggest influence would have to be my dad. He has been there and done it all, he gives me such great advice to succeed as a professional athlete.

What is your earliest league memory?

My earliest memory in Rugby League was playing in the mud at Waterloo Oval.

What is your best moment in league so far?

My best memory would have to be Signing a contract to come play at the Bulldogs.

Best piece of advice you have been given?

The man in the mirror will always be your toughest opponent.

What advice would you give to a young rugby league player?

Never, ever give up.

Who is the player you looked up to as a kid and why?

The player I most looked up to was Andrew Johns; I loved how he could kick with both feet.

What are your memories of your first NRL game?

Favourite sportsman and why?

My favourite sportsman is Christiano Ronaldo, he is a pure legent.

What can’t you live without?

I can’t live without my phone.

What player do you most enjoy playing with/against?

What is the TV show you never miss?

I love watching Geordie Shore.

What is on your bucket list?

I think to travel Europe.

If you could play another sport, what would it be?

I think if I didn’t play rugby league I would play Golf.

If you weren’t playing league, what would you be doing?

If I was not playing league right now I would be selling Garlo’s Pies!

How would you like to be remembered at the end of your career?

Someone who put in for his team in every game.
