On the 19th of November, Marcelo Montoya and Sione Talisa from the NYC squad attended Lansvale Public School for the annual school fun day.

The young pups started the day off by teaching the students how to pass the ball. Once this was learnt, the boys had a passing game set up which consisted of running around cones and passing the ball through a hole.

After all this practicing it was now time to put it into practice with a game of touch football.  Many students enjoyed the game and said they had a great time.

When asked about how his day was, Marcelo replied “it was awesome!

To just spend time with the young kids playing footy is great. To see the fun they have whilst playing no matter what happens is the reason we all fall in love with the game.”

To finish off the day Marcelo and Sione said their final goodbyes, took some photos with the school kids and thanked the school for letting them attend their annual school fun day. At the moment Marcelo is working full-time as a teacher’s aide at Casula public school while Sione is looking to peruse the same path in the near future.
