Bulldogs back rower Josh Jackson has overnight been named in the World XIII side, presented by the Rugby League World magazine.

Votes are cast by 28 rugby league journalists and former winners of the award.

Jackson has had a stellar 12 months that started with the Gulgong junior representing Australia in the Four-Nations tournament at the end of season 2014. He also gained selection in the NSW State of Origin side this season, playing in all three matches.

Cowboys Captain Johnathan Thurston took out the ‘Golden Boot’ award, for the third time in his career.

The World XIII is:
