The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce a partnership with Bankstown City Council that aims to address community issues relating to violence prevention, health and well-being and social inclusion.
The Bulldogs will assist Council in their work to increase levels of positive engagement with Bankstown residents, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds through the use of a rewards programme that includes:
- tickets to games
- interaction with current and former players
- opportunities to earn signed jerseys
- access to training sessions and corporate facilities
- opportunities to form guard of honour at Bulldogs games
“This partnership with Bankstown City Council is an important expansion of our Bulldogs in the Community programme,” said Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle.
“We’re hopeful that Bulldogs involvement with Council programmes will help improve a sense of social inclusion for people who may be isolated or disengaged from the broader community.
“We’ll also be working to reinforce messages supporting White Ribbon’s goal of eliminating violence against women and children, providing opportunities for physical exercise activities and participating in youth mental health initiatives.
“Everyone at the Bulldogs appreciates being part of such a wonderful community and this partnership with Bankstown Council is our way of reciprocating the support we receive.”
