Injured Five-eight Gareth Widdop is set to be included in the Dragons side for their Elimination Final with the Bulldogs.

Widdop has been sidelined since round 25 after sustaining a serious cork. against the Gold Coast Titans in Round 25.

He wasn't named earlier in the week, but Coah Paul McGregor did confirm to the media today that Widdop got through most of today's session and will play provided he gets through warm up.

Meanwhile the Bulldogs have prepared all week as though Widdop would play.

"We have trained for Gareth to play," said Coach Des Hasler.

"This time of year you want to play and I'm sure he and St George will do everything in their power to get him on the field.

"Yes I excpect him to play."

The Dragons named an extended 20-man squad for the match at the start of the week and will finalise their 17 an hour befiore kick-off.

The Bulldogs and Dragons will clash in the first of the elimination finals for 2015 on Saturday afternoon.

Bitter rivals for decades, this game has a lot more to it than just progressing to week two of the finals.

The winner will head into week two, whilst the loser will bow out of the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership finals series.

The ledger is even for 2015, with both teams scoring a victory in two fiercely competitive matches.
