Bulldogs.com.au has chosen the Sam Perrett try from the win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 24 as the August try of the month.

The Bulldogs won four out of five games during the month of August and along the way scored plenty of points and plenty of good tries, but the one that stood out was the Sam Perrett try just before half-time in round 24 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

With only a few seconds left on the clock, Hodkinson snapped a field goal attempt but it was charged down.

The loose ball was chased down by Cook who toed it through to the in goal before miraculously tapping the ball back in field for a waiting Perrett to end an amazing first 40 from the Bulldogs and Cook.

Other Notable Nominees:

Trent Hodkinson v Roosters, round 21
Greg Eastwood v Titans, round 23
Brett Morris v Titans, round 23
Curtis Rona v Knights, round 25
Damien Cook v Knights, round 25
