RTS Ready for Showdown with B Moz

Roosters fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been outstanding at the back for the tri-colours in 2015 with his speed, step and work rate a highlight of the Kiwi Internationals game.

Since the retirement of Anthony Minichello at the end of season 2014, the move from the wing to the number one jersey has been a smooth transition for Tuivasa-Sheck and this weekend he comes up against another player who has made the transition from wing to fullback, Brett Morris.

Morris’ arrival at Belmore and starring in the number one jersey has been a joy for the Bulldogs faithful and on Friday night the battle between the two number ones who are so important to both teams structures will be one for all to enjoy.

“His speed and experience will provide a tough battle,” Tuivasa-Sheck told Roosters TV.

“I will definitely need to do a bit of homework on him so I can be in the right spots to defend him and work my game plan around the way of stopping him from having a good game.”

The Roosters number one, known as RTS has one of the most lethal steps in the game with many of his opponents saying he is one of the hardest players to tackle in the NRL.

His stepped has fooled many defences in 2015 and it was on show in round 10 against the Bulldogs, so the question was asked on Roosters TV, will the dancing feet of Tuivasa-Sheck be on show again on Friday night.

“I'll do my homework and see if there are any gaps I can get through, but hopefully I can put a step on,” he said.

Brett Morris missed the round 10 encounter due to a hamstring injury and what a night it was for the fleet footed Tuivasa-Sheck who starred with 21 carries for 281 metres, 10 tackle breaks, 2 line breaks and a try, but the return of Morris to the Bulldogs line-up over the last six weeks has been a real positive.

“Brett and Curtis have been shining lights for the club in 2015 and that’s something we have this year, is two great finishers and they have made every post a winner for the club so far,” said Josh Morris.
