After trailing 10-nil early, the Bulldogs NYC side have run rampant at Belmore, scoring 38 unanswered points to register a 38-10 victory.
There was just one change to the side Scott Murray named earlier in the week with Darcy Maroske coming into the starting side and Jake Kamire moving back to the interchange bench.
With only one point separating both sides it was a match that both sides desperately wanted.
A number of errors from both sides cost them early and it was off the back of a Bulldogs error that gave Sharks possession in good field position which led to the opening four pointer. Three tackles up the middle and on the fourth the ball was spread out to the left and winger Josh Addo-Carr went over in the south-eastern corner. The try couldn’t be converted and the lead was 4-nil.
A second try through centre Curtis Scott extended the lead but that’s where the joy ended for the visitors with the home side running away with a 38-10 victors at the home of the Bulldogs
A Renouf To’omaga try at the back end of the first half was converted by Brad Keighran and the Sharks did hold on to a slender 10-6 lead at the break.
Seven minutes into the second half it was Keighran who scored the first of his two tries which were both converted, putting the young pups in front for the first time in the match.
In the 55th minute, front rower Jake Kamire added four more points to the scoreboard when he charged over to score. Keighran had his kicking boots on and converted once again, with the score now 24-10.
Interchange forward Siaopo Tagaloa crossed in the 62nd minute and then Josh Bergamin followed it up in the 70th. Keighran could only convert the Tagaloa try and the scoreboard then read 34-10.
A late four-pointer just had the crowd on the hill raising and celebrations were had as the scoreboard rolled over to 38-10, which it stayed as the final siren sounded.
