After a runaway win the Bulldogs brothers could afford to laugh about it.

The 28-4 scoreline masked the missed chances but you don't often see Brett and Josh Morris combine to completely bomb an easy try like they did on Friday night against the Eels, when Josh spilled a pass from Brett after the latter had drawn the last defender.

The game was well out of Parramatta's reach by then, luckily for the twins, but Josh insisted to NRL.com that he wasn't the sole culprit.

"Yeah, I think it was a bit of both of us, the boys were giving it to me but they're giving it to him as well!" he laughed.

"We'll have to look at the video, we might have to practice in the backyard on Brett's four-year-old daughter, draw and pass in the backyard on our knees maybe, so that's something we can work on."

But he was full of praise for his brother's form at fullback, which included a massive 243 metres with two line breaks, four tackle busts and one long range try.

"He was very good tonight; it's good to see coming back from that hammy injury, I don't think he's been in the clear yet," Josh said of Brett's performance.

"It was good to see him in the clear striding out and making the distance. It was good to see and I was in the box seat right next to him so it was even better."

The sight of Josh escorting his brother, neck-and-neck, on a long-range run to the line was one of the enduring images of the game.

Asked what he was saying during the run, Morris said: "I was just saying 'go you good thing' to him and I think Joshy Reynolds was on the inside telling him to whip it and riding him home like a jockey so it was good – as I said I was in the box seat and it was good to see him in full stride.

"I thought he was actually going to give it to me at the start because he brushed off Chris Sandow but he had his arm free and once he beat him I knew that he would get there pretty easy so it was good to watch."

Despite the comfortable nature of the win, Morris said the first half had been extremely scrappy and the Bulldogs had been lucky to go into half-time with a slender 6-4 lead.

"They had a fair bit of ball in that first half and in the second half we were lucky to turn it around and play some good footy and score a few tries," he said.

"We're ahead on our for-and-against now, that's a positive heading into these later rounds."
