Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs back rower Josh Jackson has tonight been successful at the judiciary in seeking a downgrade on a dangerous throw charge.
Jackson was originally charged with a Grade 2 but tonight, along with the support of Coach Des Hasler and lawyer Nick Ghabar, was successful in have the charge reduced to a Grade 1.
Jackson took the risk and was looking at three weeks on the sidelines if unsuccessful but with the decision coming down in his favour, the NSW representative will now miss only one match (Round 16 v Storm).
The Gulgong Terriers junior will now be eligible for selection in the third State of Origin match and also the Round 18 Bulldogs match against Brisbane Broncos.
