The Bulldogs will tackle the high-flying St George Illawarra Dragons this week who have scored plenty of points in recent weeks especially using a play involving their 6 and 7.

The play involves either Benji Marshall or Gareth Widdop coming from the open side of the play the ball to the short side.

The dummy-half turns the ball to the half who then passes onto the other half.

Once the half receives the ball, he is looking to isolate the 3 in defender to give himself three options:

1. Show and go himself

2. Pass to the edge back-rower and

3. Pass out the back to the half who wraps around and creates a 3 on 2.

The play has been a success for the Dragons in recent weeks, but the responsibilty falls on the shoulders of the defence to make the right decision.
