The young pups made it two on the trot with a convincing 41-12 win over the Dragons at ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

There were three changes to the side with Joseph Burchell, Michael Morgan and Harry Pondekas were ruled out with Josh Bergamin, Kyle Krisanski-Kennedy and Josh Montgomery were the men to come into the side.

The opening 20 minutes were played through the middle of the park with neither side able to break the defensive line. It was in the 28th minute where the Dragons were attacking the young pups line and halfback Guy Hamilton read the play, took the intercept and ran 90m untouched to score. Five-eighth Brad Keighran converted to give the side a 6-nil lead.

Just two minutes after Keighran grabbed a try of his own when he made a break as well off the back of a Hamilton offload. Keighran converted to extend the lead out to 12-nil.

As the siren was about to sound for half-time, the Dragons opened their account through fullback Matt Dufty. It was converted by centre Bessie Aufaga-Toomaga with the score at half-time 12-6 in favour of the young pups.

After the break it was all the Bulldogs with a further three converted tries and a field goal being scored to give them a convincing victory over the red v.

Krisanski-Kennedy scored on return in the 48th minute before Renouf To’omaga added four more to the scoreboard in 60th minute. With both converted by Keighran, the score was 24-6.

A field goal from Keighran in the 65th minute put the match beyond doubt, putting the lead out beyond three tries, with only 15 minutes remaining.

The Dragons grabbed a consolation try with five minutes remaining through Lachlan Stein and Aufaga-Toomaga quickly converted but it was all too late.

It was cancelled out when Krisanski-Kennedy grabbed his second of the afternoon through an intercept but with Keighran missing the conversion, the final siren sounded with the score 41-12.
