Brett Morris chats to the media to explain how he is adapting to life in the number one jersey and what this means for his representative opportunities.
Brett Morris joined the Bulldogs looking for a fresh start and after nine seasons with the St George Illawarra Dragons he feels refreshed with the move to Belmore.
"For me personally coming here I had to learn a lot of new things and I think this has refreshed me," said Morris.
One of the new things that Morris has had to learn is adapting to the fullback position.
Many regard him as the best winger in the game and joining a new club and playing a new postion can be difficult, but not for Morris, who has made a sizzling start to his carrer in the number one at Belmore with two players player awards and three tries.
"There is always room for improvement...it's a tough position to play...I've really enjoyed it so far, but there are definetly areas of my game I can improve," said Morris.
With Jarryd Hayne departing the NRL to pursue a career in the NFL, the door is open for Morris to put his hand up to wear the number one jersey for the sky blue and starting the season like he has will make the job a lot easier than it has in the past.
"Playing fullback this year and not last year would make me feel more comfortable and it just adds another string to the bow that I can play two positions," said Morris.
