The Broncos have defeated the Bulldogs 13-nil in the final pool match of the NRL Auckland Nines for 2015.

The Broncos crossed for two tries whilst the men in blue and white were unable to register any points.

With the struggle from the outset it was the men from Brisbane who crossed for their opening try in the seventh minute of play. It was a simple skip across field that got the defence guessing and Darren Nicholls slipped through to score. Kodi Nikorima converted giving the side a 6-nil lead.

In the final seconds before the half-time break, it was Jayden Nikorima who was on the end of a string of passes and with nothing but air in front of him, the talented youngster went over to score in the bonus point try zone. Anthony Milford converted to put the lead out to 13-nil.

Whilst the second half didn’t have any points scored, there were a number of opportunities for both sides. A number of breaks were made by the Bulldogs but the final effort was cost the men from Belmore. Shaun Lane lost the ball prior to the line on one occasion whilst Adam Elliott was taken into touch after a mid-field break was made. Aiden Tolman also struggled to get his hands on the ball after a Curtis Rona pass was thrown behind him, with the try line open.

It was entertaining until the final siren but the Broncos held on for a 13-nil victory.
