After what has been a solid four weeks for the players on the training paddock, the players headed to Wanda beach for a much lighter session to break up the grind of a pre-season.

Forward Dale Finucane has only been back for two weeks, but he knows sessions like the one the squad has undertaken at Wanda beach will certainly help the players over the next couple of weeks.

"It's been a tough couple of weeks, but it's a down week this week and today gives us a chance to get to know the new boys and have a down down with boxing and cricket," said Finucane.

It has been a tough pre-season so far and with just over two weeks remaining until the squad breaks for Christmas, Finucane believes the teams' session at Wanda will help them over the coming weeks.

"You need to have days like this so the group can get together, have a bit of fun, mingle and enjoy one another's company," said Finucane.
