The Canterbury Bulldogs NYC team comes up against the ladder-leading Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium this Sunday.
The Dogs went down 28-12 in awful wet weather conditions last Friday night against Manly while Parramatta enjoyed a 48-22 smashing of North Queensland.
With only one home win and one away win for season 2014, the Pups from Belmore will play against their West Sydney rivals who have only lost 3 games in 12 matches this year.
Watch out for the ever-reliable Bulldogs fullback Brendan Cox, as well as exciting half Robbie Kamoto. They’ll be looking for a good game to compliment the ball playing skills of boom second rower Renouf To’omaga who had 30 tackles 12 hit-ups and 2 line-breaks last week against Manly.
Parramatta captain Zach Dockar-Clay looks set for big things at the club after a well-rounded performance where he scored a try and set up three. Winger Halauafu Lavaka scored 4 tries against the Cowboys in Round, 13 to show some potential first grade hopes.
The last time these two sides met was in Round 20, 2014. The Bulldogs were easy 54-18 winners that day, but both sides had different coaches to their current Holden Cup coaches. 2 players remain from that Eels side last year, fullback Corey Makalim and Interchange player Tui Kamikamica, but only 1 from the Bulldogs, Denzel King.
