The Bulldogs NYC side have been heavily defeated 50-10 this afternoon by the Dragons at ANZ Stadium.

It was 22-10 at the break before the Dragons ran in five second half tries to register the win.

Coach Scott Murray was able to go into the match with the same 17 named earlier in the week with fullback Marcus Jensen and centre Tautalatasi Tasi making their first appearances for the year.

An early penalty gave the Bulldogs possession but soon after the Dragons had the same and they were able to turn it into points. It was just the second tackle off the back of the penalty and a shift to the right saw winger Sitiveni Moceidreke in the south-western corner. He couldn’t convert his own try with the score 4-nil after six minutes.

The Bulldogs missed the start and the Dragons were able to go over for their second of the afternoon just seven minutes later. It was a nice weaving run by centre Brent Anderson who ran 40m basically untouched to score. Moceidreke converted to extend the lead out to 10-nil.

Off the back of a Dragons error the Bulldogs were able to register their first points of the afternoon. A pass was thrown in the in-goal that couldn’t be picked up by Moceidreke and hooker Robbie Kamoto pounced on the loose ball to score. Five-eighth Brad Keighran converted to close the gap to 10-6.

The 22nd minute saw the Dragons score their third try Isaac Thompson scoring after the home side earned a repeat set. Moceidreke again converted to extend the lead once again out to 16-6.

The Bulldogs and the Dragons then crossed for a try each before the break with the home side going to the half-time break leading 22-10.

The second half was all the Dragons with the half century being brought up after a further five tries were run in. four of those were converted to give the Dragons a 50-10 victory.
