The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to confirm the re-signing of front row forward, James Graham, for a further four years, through until the end of season 2018.
The English international joined the Bulldogs in season 2012, making his debut in Round 1 against the Penrith Panthers. Since his NRL debut, the 28-year-old has made 45 appearances in the top grade.
The St Helens Crusaders and Blackbrook JRLC junior has been an ultra-consistent player since his arrival in the competition and last season finished the year by taking out the Dr George Peponis Medal for Bulldogs ‘Player of the Year’.
Graham is excited about the new contract and the opportunity to continue to put on the famous blue and white jersey each week.
“I’m really delighted to be honest, to be able to have the next four years here is great and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay,” Graham said. “I’m really enjoying my time here, we play some good footy and it’s great that I’ll be a part of this side for an extended period.
“Home will always be home but Sydney and Canterbury are home for now and I feel very settled here.”
“It’s a good bunch of blokes, a lot of characters in the rooms and it’s good to know that I will be a part of that. There is a lot more we want to achieve.”
Chief Executive Raelene Castle is pleased that Graham is staying at the club.
“James is a popular figure within the playing group and is someone that leads with his actions from the front,” Castle said. “We know James will continue to perform consistently for the club.”
Coach Des Hasler is also pleased to have Graham remain at the club.
“When you look at the stats each week, James is consistently at the top of the list,” Hasler said. “I’m happy that he will be wearing blue and white for the next four years.”
