NYC Match Preview: Bulldogs v Sea-Eagles
Thursday 4 April 2013 1:00 PM
Whilst not convincing the NYC side were able to come away with a victory last weekend against the Rabbitohs but are looking forward to their match against the Sea-Eagles this weekend.
The boys shot to a handy lead, but they certainly allowed the Bunnies back into the game through handling errors, poor decisions in both attack and defence and not playing for the 80 minutes.
Defence and playing for the 80 minutes are certainly the focus for our pups this week and on Friday night as they take on a Manly side who were very impressive last weekend against the reigning premiers, the Tigers. Although the NYC side is three wins from four games and Manly are two from two it certainly will be a tough game.
It’s about the attention to detail and the little things, by that I mean - completing your sets, taking the right options and being able to put a side away when you are in front.
It was certainly a sombre mood in the Holden Cup sheds last Friday because personally and collectively the boys know they can be better. So therefore there is no better opportunity to nail a quality 80 minute performance at home on a Friday night.
Young half Jaline Graham will be missing through suspension and with a high injury toll it gives our members and fans an opportunity to see more of the depth that we have at the club.
I look forward to seeing our NYC side play and after speaking to both Coach Andy Patmore and Captain Moses Mbye through the week you could tell in their voice that there was disappointment about the win last week. I have no doubt it will be an improved performance on Friday night.
