“If my opportunity (to play NRL) comes, I’m going to be ready to go.”
2013 is looking to be a breakthrough season for Moses MBye who is going into his last season in the NYC with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Training full-time with the NRL squad, Moses has endured a tough 2013 preseason so far including a Defense Force inspired fitness camp in November and some sweltering days in early January during the Sydney heat wave – both of which he has emerged from confident and ready for the new season.
“I feel really good, I’m really confident… Full-time training has done me such good and I am looking forward to the season” Moses said.
Following up from an impressive 2012 season in the NYC where he scored 15 tries in 22 matches, MBye says that training alongside the NRL squad has been a great learning experience.
“It’s been a really good experience, the boys have been unreal…I’m just ticking along and learning as much as possible.”
The young utility insists that training under Bulldogs Head Coach Des Hasler has been daunting but positive and insightful.
“It's been daunting but he’s there for the best in me… I’m looking forward to learning some more (from Des Hasler).”
Moses is not getting too far ahead of himself and is taking his football one game at a time - his main focus as captain of the 20’s, is getting off to a good start in NYC.
“I am still eligible for 20’s so my concentration is on a really successful season with the 20’s"
“My mentality is that I have to be ready every week and be as fit as I can be.” Moses indicated.
