He was a part of the emerging blues squad this year as well as being a part of the inaugural 20s origin game last year in which NSW won, but given the opportunity to captain the NSW under 20s side this year in the Origin and leading the boys to a 36-12 victory over QLD is certainly something he is proud of.
His work rate was phenomenal and simply led from the front. He continually put his hand up to take the tough run and continually put dents in the defensive line to put NSW on the front foot. With the first grade experience under his belt, it certainly helped him as he was a standout in what was a dominant display by New South Wales. This concept is definitely a great stepping stone for some of the games talented youngsters coming through both the Holden Cup and the NSW Cup.
Having been a part of this week, he will no doubt learn a lot about himself and about what Origin means.
Bulldogs TV caught up with the David to chat about his outstanding performance.
